Electric Power Steering

The New Model more fuel-efficient,less vibration, give the best acceleration force.

Significant difference for the new myvi when paired with electric power steering to provide fast response to control. All the variants – now categorised as Standard, Premium and Elegance – use electric power steering, which eliminates the need for a power steering pump and hydraulic pumping. The engine doesn’t need to supply power to the pump, and best of all, where ownership cost is concerned, it is virtually maintenance-free as no power steering oil is required. The car becomes more fuel efficient because of reduced engine workload.
The power assist is also speed-dependent. When the car is driven at low speed, the power steering gives full assist so the driver can turn the steering wheel easily. This means parking or turning tight corners can be done with minimal effort.Perodua engineers have managed to tweak the existing 1.3-litre engine for extra performance and the adoption of electric power steering plus improved aerodynamics all work towards the car achieving more power while giving better mileage.

Engine

This model provides advantages in terms of drivability and engine performance improved. K3-VE engine with 1.3-liter capacity is a difference in performance when it is more economical level of fuel consumption, acceleration forces, less vibration and give the best acceleration force. The engine produces 90bhp compared to 86bhp previously, while the torque figure has inched up a Newton-metre to 117Nm.
The manual transmission Myvi now has a longer range of 17.5km/l compared with the previous one of 17.1km/l, while the automatic transmission version has a range of 14.6km/l against a range 13.5km/l compared with its predecessor.

Wow!!! Great

The biggest and most obvious change in the dash layout is the relocation of the automatic gear shifter to the centre console, freeing up space between the front seats for knick knacks. However, this only applies to the automatic version – manual transmission cars have the usual floor mounted gear lever, and the space on the centre console is filled by a cubby hole.

Opt for the Elegance spec and you’ll get a full colour 6-inch touch screen head unit with navigation. This is not offered anywhere else at this price point, and really adds to the Myvi’s showroom appeal. This HU comes in piano black trim, which looks nice but is easily smudged. For the Premium and Elegance, chrome trim is available on the shift knob and A/C controls.
One of the highlights of the cabin is the new instrument panel, which features Toyota Camry-style meters.
The familiar “bottle cap” air-con controls are taken from the Alza, and is also similar to those on the pre-facelift Toyota Vios.
For this one, there’s USB and SD card support as well as Bluetooth capability for both phone and audio, and the DVD-based system also offers MP3/WMA playback. Meanwhile, the Standard gets a radio/CD player four-speaker audio system with MP3/WMA capability, and the Premium comes with the same, but with USB and Bluetooth added in,
